SPECIAL PROJECT

Macy’s Black History Month Window Installation 2020

History meets minimalism in the work of East Coast artist & designer, Lisa Hunt. Alluding to indigenous African and Eastern textiles, Hunt explores the different relationships of patterns through her graphic shapes, symbols and re-imagined typographic elements— with an added aesthetic of gold leaves.

With her work domestically & internationally commissioned, Hunt has been featured in various venues and bestselling magazines. Macy’s is proud to have exhibited her artwork in the windows of flagship stores, including New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. in celebration of Black History Month 2020.
